Description
This hand-forged Splitting Froe with a long ash wood handle is made for green woodworking, shingle making, billet splitting, and general wood processing. Designed for riving wood along the grain, it is the traditional tool for preparing shingles, carving blanks, kindling, and firewood. Driven into the wood with a wooden mallet or froe club, the thick blade opens a clean split, while the long handle gives you leverage to twist and steer it through the grain. A Crazy Horse leather sheath is included for safe storage and transport.
