I tend to prefer buying tools one time. Something that I know will stay with me for a lifetime. Thank you!

Perfect fit , well made tool can’t wait to use it

I liked that they are well made tools . I can’t wait to use them for my woodcarving projects

Man this axe was a game changer for me. I had no idea an axe could be this sharp!! What a joy to use for my spoon carving. This thing will do shavings on wood!! Just wish the handle had a little more bulk to be a bit more comfortable in the hand. Other than that I couldn’t be more pleased.

Well built, works as expected. Not much to say except this product is amazing. 😁

Came sharp, can functionally cut through wood, including kiln dried basswood. Nice handle, love how easy it is to hold.

Very nice…QUALITY!!

I'm a woodworker and appreciate finely-made tools. This one is no exception. The head is obviously hand-forged and stamped with the SF maker's mark. What looks like chipped black paint is mill scale left on for a rustic look. The edge is hollow-ground with an unusual 30-degree bevel (axe bevel is normally 35 degrees). The knife-like cutting edge has only the faintest grind marks; this one is best used as a carving tool. The handle is ash with narrow closely-spaced growth rings and the grain direction is oriented properly for an axe handle. It is made in Kyiv; expect to wait a few weeks for shipping to the U.S.

Amazing knife! Very sharp and versatile. Super comfortable to hold with the rounded handle and rounded spine of the blade.

Cuts like butter through leather, soon I’ll complete my set

Whittling Knife for Wood Carving
with Leather Sheath, 5cm(1.96 inches)”

I’ve been carving small, mostly abstract, sculptures for 30+ yrs. Early on I bought a chip carving knife and modified it slightly, happily using it for many hours (yrs) of carving. Then I discovered Mora sloyd knives and they became my new favorite, due to their quality and sharpness. However the handle on the sloyd knives are at times a bit short for me, feeling a little insecure for some tasks.

Recently, I noticed that Sharky offered this knife similar to my ole modified favorite (see images). I ordered one and just opened up the package. From a size and design perspective everything is perfect - better than my ole favorite!!! And the quality of the materials and construction are very good.

As received, it is sharp, certainly good enough for most carving needs. But for final smoothing tasks and long term sharpening ease, I’ll be trying to cleanup some of the minor irregularities on the bevel, and flatten the bevel more.

I recently I started carving bowls and small vessels. And once I started using Sharks Forged Steel Tools it was a game changer. I’m slowly building my collection and now have placed my third order with them in the last few weeks. Great quality and a wide selection of tools to pick from.

Good quality, stays sharp, well worth the price. Excellent

Love my Sharkies!

Great! Love the craftsmanship and length of the handle!
