The package arrived 6 days after delivery date. Well packaged, but not nearly sharp enough to cut very green spoon blanks. Needed extensive work to be sharpened enough to outperform my previous sloyd knife. Really hoping it holds a decent edge, otherwise it will not have been worth the time or money.

I sincerely apologize that the tool did not arrive ready to use. We know that for green wood, the edge needs to be perfect right out of the box, and I am sorry you had to spend time sharpening it yourself. That is a miss on our quality control, and we will do better.
Regarding the edge retention, please put the tool to the test. We are confident the steel will hold its edge now, but if you have any doubts after using it, please reach out to us directly. We want to ensure this tool earns its place in your kit.
the overall construction is good, but the tip is very thin and tends to bend and/or pierce the sheath if not put in exactly right

This knife be made in Ukraine, made me want to make this purchase. The quality and visual workmanship seemed of good quality.
The issue was it couldn't carve basswood very well as delivered.
I tried stropping, that helped, but to save time it needed a machine stropping.
Cuts much better after a significant amount of effort.

Gouge looks great and was darn near sharp enough to use out of the package. Wood has shrunk since fitting the aluminum retaining rings; used epoxy to remedy the situation. Appreciate the leather sheath
The tool is very effective—it was my first time using this type of tool, and I'm extremely satisfied with it. It's sturdy; you can strike it to split very hard logs, and it holds up well.
There are two points worth noting, however. Normally, tools of this kind aren't meant to be razor-sharp, as their purpose is to split wood rather than cut it. This one arrived extremely sharp—razor-sharp, in fact—so I also ended up using it as a drawknife. So, what might seem like a minor flaw actually turned out to be somewhat practical.
The other issue is that I suspect the handle was made under more humid conditions than those in my workshop. Here, the handle has dried out and shrunk enough that it no longer holds the blade securely. I'll therefore need to either make a new handle or keep the current one in a more humid environment, as the tool is practically unusable unless the handle is firmly attached.
That said, it's still a good purchase—especially considering the handle, while problematic, is fairly easy to replace if you have the right materials.
Really great. Sharp and the lovely leather case is worth it. Used right away. Very satisfied. Yay!
I wasn’t actually sure what I was going to use this angled head-knife for, but that was short lived after I started putting it to use. I now appreciate the angled head for cutting long runs on any thickness of leather. It’s my go-to now for just that purpose.
